Terms and Conditions of Sale

Orders are placed electronically via the website ticket shop. The customer selects the desired ticket products, chooses the date of visit (or annual pass validity), enters accurate contact details (first name, last name, email address, phone number), and confirms payment via the chosen payment method.

A legally binding contract of sale is formed when the order confirmation is displayed and delivered to the customer's email address.

All prices are quoted in Euros (EUR, €) and include Finnish Value Added Tax (VAT 10% on admission tickets, exhibition entries, and planetarium films; 25.5% on physical retail merchandise where applicable) in accordance with Finnish tax legislation.

Online advance ticket purchases include a €3 discount compared to gate ticket desk prices. No hidden service charges, booking surcharges, or payment processing fees are added at checkout.

Supported payment methods include Finnish online bank payments, debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), and Finnish cultural/recreational employer benefit vouchers (Smartum, Edenred, Epassi).

Adult (18+): Standard full-price adult admission.
Child (5–17 years): Discounted admission for youth.
Children under 5 years: Free admission when accompanied by a paying adult or guardian.
Personal Assistants: Personal assistants accompanying individuals with disabilities enter free of charge.

Children under 13 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult or guardian at all times during their visit.

Standard Admission Tickets: Valid for a single day entry on the specific visit date chosen at the time of purchase during official opening hours. Same-day re-entry is permitted with a valid wristband or stamp.

Annual Passes (Club Cards): Valid for 365 calendar days from the date of activation, granting unlimited personal admission to all exhibitions, science shows, and planetarium films.

Visitors are required to comply with Science Center safety instructions, staff guidance, and exhibit guidelines. Large backpacks, umbrellas, and luggage must be stored in the complimentary cloakroom lockers. Eating and drinking are permitted only in designated dining areas and picnic spaces. Photography for personal, non-commercial use is warmly welcomed.

The Science Center shall not be held liable for delays or failures to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control (force majeure), including natural disasters, fires, floods, government restrictions, pandemic health orders, or general power or network outages.

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland. Any disputes arising between the customer and the Science Center shall primarily be resolved through amicable negotiation with customer service.

If an amicable agreement cannot be reached, consumers have the right to refer the matter to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta, www.kuluttajariita.fi) or use the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform.
